  1. After booking dates have been agreed we will send you a Booking Confirmation Form. A deposit of 25% of the total rental term of the Barn is payable when the Booking Confirmation Form is returned. The remainder of the cost of the booking is to be paid 6 weeks before the start date of the rental term.  If the booking for the Barn is made less than 6 weeks before the rental term commences, then the full cost of the booking is payable when the Booking Confirmation Form is returned.  Payments by bank transfer (see Booking Confirmation Form for details) or cheque are accepted.

  2. All cancellations must be notified in writing (email accepted) and we will make every effort to re-let the Barn for the rental term dates detailed on the Booking Confirmation Form.  If the booking is cancelled after the deposit is paid but before the remaining payment is made, we will return the deposit when the Barn is re-let.  If the Barn is not re-let then the deposit is forfeited.  If the booking is cancelled after the remaining payment has been made (i.e. 6 weeks before the start of the rental term) and the Barn is not re-let, the following conditions apply:
    Cancellation between 4 – 6 weeks before rental term: deposit + 10% of remaining payment

    Cancellation between 2 – 4 weeks: deposit + 25% of remaining payment

    Between 2 weeks & arrival date: deposit + 50% of remaining payment

    Cancellation insurance is therefore recommended.

  3. The Barn will be available from 14:00 on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10:00 on the day of departure (unless otherwise agreed with the owners prior to arrival).

  4. Only guests named on the Booking Confirmation Form may stay overnight in the Barn.  Prior notification and agreement should be sought from the owners of any additional guests arriving during your rental term.

  5. Guests are responsible for leaving the Barn in a clean condition.  Any damage or breakages should be reported to the owners.  A Security Deposit of £200 is payable when remaining payment is made for the rental (i.e. 6 weeks before arrival date) and if there are any significant costs (i.e. breakages or damage over £200), the Security Deposit will be forfeited. Otherwise it will be returned after Barn inspection on departure. 

  6. Every effort is made to ensure that all equipment, electrical goods, etc. in the Barn are in good working order. Breakdowns occasionally occur, and guests should inform the owners so that repair or remedial action can be undertaken promptly.

  7. The owners cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to guests’ luggage or personal effects. Personal property and effects insurance is recommended. 

  8. Guests should supervise children within their party at all times.  The owners cannot accept any responsibility for accident, injury or sickness of children staying in the Barn.

  9. Smoking is not permitted inside the Barn.  Smoking is permitted outdoors in the courtyard, and sand buckets are available to use. Please do not discard cigarette ends anywhere else.

  10. Pets are not permitted to stay in the Barn.
